I don't know if anyone still visits this site, but here goes anyway.
There is to be a residents meeting in London in February according to FMG, the management company. I understand that their primary purpose is to find a way to secure incomes from the owners who are not paying their maintenance charges.
They have decided to go into the rental business, without demanding all the up front deposits etc that the previous rental company wanted. My understanding is that they will deduct maintenance charges from apartment rentals.
The problem for me is this. My apartment is furnished and paid up to date. I suspect that anyone not paying maintenance has probably not furnished their apartment, so they can't be let out. I do not want my apartment leased to pay for someone elses maintenance charges. I suspect I will have to attend the residents meeting. If we have a larger crowd there it is more likely that the interests of the residents will be reflected in the outcome, so keep an eye out for an invitation. |
